RAM Location and Replacement
So you are not sure how to add a stick of RAM to your computer huh?Well have no fear, with this simple 6 step (yes, six) guild I will have you adding ram in no time.
Let us begin, first place your PC in a flat space where you can access all sides [note: do not do this on your bed. Big no no, do as I say, not as I do]. You can now remove the side.
You should have your RAM ready for use. Here I am using an old stick of 256mb Nanya DDR266 [Good RAM for cheap generic OC's pretty well too].
To bulk things up here is another photo of the RAM. Not very good by meh, you get the idea, keep the RAM on the antistatic bag as you work on the rest of the box. As you can see the RAM has a key in it, take a mental not of this. It is important.
Here we have the mobo ready for new RAM. As you can see this is an empty mobo [will be 1gig-o-ram when I finish it]. As you can see from the slots there is a notch in each of them. This notch is important. Take note where it is.
Now you can see that the key in the RAM matches up to the slots. This will prevent you from installing it wrong.
Now to install the ram, push down on both ends evenly and it will pop into place and the catches on each side will lock up into the ram.
And that is all there is to it. You now have one system with some freshly installed RAM. Have fun playing games with that extra FPS between playable, and "OMGWTFBBQLOL".
Thanks for reading.
