Some time has passed since my last update so I felt I should really make one. Given I pay a few bob to keep this webby online. The course is going okay, even if I do get deeply annoyed by the stupidity of a fair few of the people on said course. Although I suspect that should have been expected.
I started a weekend job, which pays rather well and for added fun I also spend my time off working in a garage to keep myself busy and to accelerate my learning. This extra learning, as it happens, is quite possible the most challenging part of the whole college experience.
The most annoying part however has to be "Enrichment". It is a gov't funded "voluntary" optional extra, but as it is gov't funded and the college gets some extra scratch for every student on the course, it is mandatory to take it. Which makes no real sense, but then few things ever do.
I suppose I can't really complain all that much as the enrichment I've been given is rather useful for a grease monkey as it is welding/body work. Unfortunately when the tutor was showing me the correct HC2H/O2 mix for gas welding I got a touch of Arc-Eye, which is bloody uncomfortable.
I suppose really that just adds to the fun, although I am really going to take extra care from now on, as screwing over my eyes will seriously get in the way of my military goals. Plus going blind will generally suck balls.
Finally, in relation to the move in the last update. That is still on the cards, but may be through a loan/re-mortgage rather than a sale (the property isn't shifting as expected, which is unfortunate). But it would be useful as the property up there is rather large so I'd have room to have a nice project vehicle on the go and have a daily drive to commute to college/work and such.
Well that is me for this update, I am sure I've missed a lot of details, but there you go.
