Something ironic I'm sure.
Hello,

Fun week this week, most of my lectures are at the top of Maxwell, and I refuse to use the lift, so my trainers are going to die before long. I also had to start drinking more milk and eating a better ranged diet as what I'm currently eating is fluxing up my body, and my bones are falling apart which is limiting what I can and cannot do at the gym as my shoulders have a habit of giving out on me when I do bench presses or shoulder presses, not fun. And hearing your shoulder click when you move it cannot be healthy.

So far semester 2 has taken a dull tone though, one hopes things will get interesting as it progresses. That's it for this week.

Take care,

Lab, field, field, lab. We have a lab on wheels.
Hello,

Yay, I start back at university tomorrow, which should be fun, having to climb to the 8th floor, think I'll have to start doing what everyone else does and use the elevator. God it is going to suck.

Also a pretty bad week for the Student Union last week, first The Pav closes, which lost them heaps, then there was a huge fire in University House which is home to Lowry Bar, which will remain closed for the rest of the year. Now to a lot of Universities this wouldn't really be a bad thing for the students because it takes money out of the Uni, however, at Salford we have the only privately owned Union, which means they can charge what ever they like for drinks and we all know when The Pav opens in a month or two it'll be bumped up drink prices to cover their losses, which have been boosted by the fact it has come to light the damage to The Pav will not be covered by insurance.

As it turns out they were told long ago to do some minor repairs by the insurance company, these minor repairs were nothing jobs, the sort of thing where if nothing goes wrong you'll never know it needs doing, so to save some cash, they were never done. Then roll on the winds and woops, we lost a roof. So you can see where this is going, more money out of the Student Union, which means high costs to cover all the repairs.

Somehow I don't see this privately owned deal being all that good of an idea, as it just costs us more. On a plus side I cut more time off my warm up, I shaved it down to a 4.12.xx, not much of a cut, but I'm happy. I also went to see The Wiz on Saturday, which is a rewrite of The Wizard of Oz.

The Wiz was a rewrite by black people in protest over the fact that The Wizard of Oz's castle was white and the Wicked Witches was black, so it was made more "urban" and such (or at least that is the story I was given, how true or not it is I'll leave up to you). Which would have probably worked really damn well, if not for the fact it was white people play the parts. White people trying to be black just never works. Naturally they skipped a few songs which everyone was expecting, which I suppose were "too white" or some such to make it to the new "urban" version, but it worked well. I only really went because a house mate had a part as a Munchkin in it. But it was worth the £3.50 I spent for four hours of entertainment, even if the pyrotechnics did leave me bind for 30 seconds, turns out fire works at close range + human eyes in a dark room = lots of heat (I was about 10 metres away and I could feel the heat on my face) and your eyes stop working as they recover from the shock.

We've got to clear this up. It's like he's confused.
Hello,

What a week that was, did my exam and just been kicking back, but man alive was it windy on Thursday, The Pav got some major damage to the roof which has kept it closed until they get it all fixed up, pretty much EVERY roof on Castle Irwell has tiles missing, some more than others countless trees have been up-rooted and there are still a couple of little lakes on the way to uni where the water hasn't really gone anywhere. But the best is apparently due this week as the snow should be hitting, which I cannot wait for.

I levelled up at the gym today too, every machine we play on I chucked it up a notch or two, and though it is slow, I am starting to put on weight and girth, so I feel a tad more comfortable in my skin. I'm also fighting a new PB on the rowing machine, 1,000 metres on level 10, currently my best is 4.14.xx, I hope to bring it down to under the four minute mark, not a huge target, but when I hit it I'll be one happy chappy. Probably miles off racing pace, but it works for me.

I am also loving Lindt chocolate, something about extreme dark chocolate (I have 4x 70% Cocoa, and 4x 85% Cocoa) and man are they nice to eat, it's not like a Snickers or Mars bar where one would chomp it down in seconds, because if you did that you'd probably die or something, but the bitterness of it kicks major rabbits testicles. Point of interest, Robinsons "Normal" Squash is the devil, too much sugar in one drink to the point where you get a fur coat over your teeth and spend the next few hours brushing them to try and get rid of it. Avoid at all costs, plus the cost of it ASDA (Wal-Mart) own brand 32p (next to the 93p a litre of Robinsons) a litre is so much better, and cheaper, win win.

Yes... does that count as a question?
Hello,

So I am back at university and already got my junk sorted out, sort of how I like it, which is nice. On Sunday I went to The Pav where I had a couple of birthday drinks and I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the shot we had, I should have probably wrote it down.

It is also offical that PJ's are the best thing since sliced bread, they rock I never have to get dressed unless I'm going out, it's a win win for lazyness. I also got some awesome stuff for my birthday, got a pocket watch, so I can feel like an old man.

I managed to rip the ass on my favourite jeans, teach me to try and take them off without undoing the belt first, so now I have an inch or so hole which sucks, so I ordered myself some new trousers which I could only get shipped home, so I'll have to wait for them to be forwarded to me.

I also really need to get round to stripping down my PC and sorting out the wires and installing the cold caths, as it's a mess in there and right now all the lights are doing is getting dusty and almost being snapped, which would a bad thing based on the chemicals used to make them light up and not get hot.

Take care,

Here's how this works, you answer a question, I undo a button. Understand?
Hello,

As you can see I got round to changing my website. Not the best design in the world, but I had it floating around my HDD, so I thought I'd give it some love. Maybe if I ever get round to it I'll make something a little better. Until then, this will do, even if there will be a few problems here and there where I need to change the boarder colour on some of the images.

On Saturday I went for a nice little poker game with my brother in-law in which I lost a small ammount of cash, but was well worth the loss for the fun that was had. I'm going to have to buy a poker set so we can play it at uni, play under tournament rules and have a £1 buy in, so if you lose you don't mind as much. Good clean fun.

It would also appear that next time I update I'll be 21 years old, which means I'll have me a smexy little pocket watch, which is nice, because lets face it, every gentleman should have one. I also decied to cancel my Canadian trip, which ultimatly means more money in my pockets, but I wouldn't have done much if I went there anyway, maybe in a few years I'll save up and go into the Canadian Rockies or some such, who knows.

Take care,
